Appy Pie Launches Agentic AI App Builder for iOS and Android

Four specialised agents take a brief through app development and testing with backend services and hosting built in.

Appy Pie announced its Agentic AI App Builder, bringing four specialised AI agents together to plan, design, build and test iOS and Android apps. Users describe what they want, approve a development plan and refine their app through conversation, with backend services, a database, user accounts and hosting included.

The new builder expands Appy Pie’s existing AI app creation platform with dedicated Planning, Design, Build and Testing agents. It brings the development workflow and the services needed to run an app into one environment, reducing the setup required to turn an idea into a working product.

“This is our biggest product announcement in a decade,” said Abhinav Girdhar, Founder and CEO of Appy Pie. “We want a business owner to explain an idea and have an AI team help turn it into an app. The user sets the direction and approves the plan. Our agents handle the work of designing, building and testing, with the infrastructure already in place.”

Four agents guided by the user

Users can begin with a written or spoken request and attach files or screenshots for context. A brief such as “Build a CRM for my sales team with customer records, a deal pipeline and individual logins” starts a coordinated workflow.

  1. Planning Agent asks clarifying questions and proposes the features, screens and data structure. The user approves the plan before building begins.
  2. Design Agent creates the screens, layouts and colours, using a logo or website as a brand reference where provided.
  3. Build Agent generates the app in React Native for iOS and Android and connects it to the built-in backend, database and user accounts.
  4. Testing Agent runs automated checks and applies fixes to detected issues before presenting a preview for the user to review.

Users can preview the app on their own phone through a QR code and request changes in ordinary language, such as “Add a revenue chart to the dashboard.” The builder also supports export of the generated app code.

Built in infrastructure and connected tools

The builder supports projects ranging from CRMs, customer portals and admin dashboards to online stores, community apps, media services and 2D games. Supported features include push notifications, hosted checkout, media and a web-based admin panel.

Appy Pie manages the integrated backend, database, authentication and hosting. Users can begin without opening separate infrastructure accounts, while teams that already use Firebase or Supabase can connect those services.

The platform also supports workflows through Claude and Claude Code, alongside more than 60 integrations through Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI tools to other software. Connections through Flozic, Appy Pie’s workflow automation platform, extend an app into a business’s existing processes.
