NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA, 6th February 2025 – As Super Bowl LIX draws near, Cisco is using advanced AI-powered cyber security tech to safeguard NFL’s operations. With a revenue of more than $18 billion, the NFL is frequently at risk of cyber threats, and Cisco’s AI-powered security solutions have been customized to combat these issues head on.

On average, around 200 million people across the globe watch the Super Bowl yearly. The challenge isn’t just streaming the event; it is also ensuring that there is 100% uptime without any buffering. Cisco makes this achievable through the use of AI.

In the recent Super Bowl, Cisco prevented countless connection attempts from blacklisted regions and examined over 1,600 acknowledged intrusions. Educating oneself on these things is a key component of modern cybersecurity, making it all more streamlined and easier with every attempt.

Since 2020, Cisco has been the Official Enterprise Networking Partner and an Official Cyber Security Partner of the NFL. This partnership requires working throughout the year, non-stop, covering everything from the NFL Draft to the regular season. All 32 NFL teams depend on Cisco’s infrastructure for seamless connectivity and security, and Cisco makes sure there are no issues.

Cisco technology ensures that competitive fans are able to receive ultra-high quality 4k during games. Moreover, for two years now Cisco and the NFL have partnered in the Cisco Networking Academy NFL Apprenticeship to support skill building for future technology workers.

There is no disruption to the game for the fans, which is the end goal for Cisco. As the players make incredible moves on the field, Cisco is enabling thousands of threats to be blocked and millions of connections to be maintained, all so that fans can watch the game without any disruptions.
