CoreSite today announced it will offer connectivity to Oracle Cloud through a new Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) FastConnect on-ramp to the Oracle Cloud San Jose Region.

By leveraging OCI FastConnect, CoreSite customers can improve the performance and resiliency of their multicloud applications through multiple connections to the same OCI region. Direct connectivity to four U.S. OCI regions also gives CoreSite customers additional flexibility to design architectures supporting geographic redundancy, disaster recovery, and distributed applications.

CoreSite also offers connectivity to Oracle through dedicated fiber and its Open Cloud Exchange®, a software-defined interconnection platform that enables CoreSite customers to provision private, on-demand connections between cloud providers, locations, and hybrid IT environments. Together, these capabilities can help simplify access to OCI and support connectivity across CoreSite’s network-rich ecosystem of cloud, carrier, and enterprise partners.

The launch is particularly relevant for enterprises and digital platforms operating in Silicon Valley, where proximity to the Oracle Cloud San Jose Region and a highly interconnected digital ecosystem can support a range of deployment requirements. Potential use cases include real-time streaming, ad-tech, AI inferencing, and cross-cloud application architectures.

“The digital economy depends on fast, secure, and robust connectivity between enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and increasingly AI-driven applications,” said Maile Kaiser,(opens in new tab) chief revenue officer, CoreSite. “By extending Oracle Cloud Infrastructure FastConnect to our Silicon Valley campus and now four U.S. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure regions, CoreSite provides customers greater architectural flexibility to deploy applications where it makes sense for their business while helping them simplify multicloud strategies, strengthen resilience, and adapt to evolving business demands.”

With OCI, customers benefit from best-in-class security, consistent high performance, global pricing, and the tools and expertise needed to bring enterprise workloads to the cloud quickly and efficiently. In addition, OCI gives organizations flexible, high-performance connectivity options from anywhere in the world through an extensive ecosystem of more than 110 OCI FastConnect global and regional partners that provide dedicated connectivity to Oracle Cloud Regions and services.

OCI is designed to run any application faster, and more securely, for less. As the only hyperscaler capable of delivering 200+ AI and cloud services at the edge, in a customer’s datacenter, across clouds, or in the public cloud, OCI also helps address a variety of data privacy, sovereign AI, and low latency requirements. In addition, Oracle’s distributed cloud delivers the benefits of the cloud with greater control and flexibility while also providing the consistent performance, SLAs, and global pricing for which OCI has become known.
