Evroc’s €50.6M Series A Boosts Europe’s Cloud Independence
Stockholm Sweden, 20th March 2025 – The Swedish startup Evroc has secured €50.6 million (~$55 million) in a recent Series A funding round. With the new capital, it hopes to build a sovereign hyperscale cloud infrastructure in Europe. The funding was led by international investment firm blisce/ and also saw participation from EQT Ventures, Norrsken VC, and Giant Ventures.
Together, these investments mark another key milestone in minimizing the dependence of Europe on foreign cloud service providers from the U.S. and China. The funding will help Europe strengthen its cloud infrastructure while simultaneously addressing data sovereignty issues to achieve greater digital autonomy.
To that end, Evroc intends to build multiple data centers throughout the continent, with another emphasis on providing sustainable and secure cloud services. As part of the company’s plan with AI.
Evroc has announced the construction of an “AI Factory” in Mougins, France, as well as purchasing land for their flagship AI Data Center in Stockholm, Sweden, solidifying Evroc’s dedication to next-generation cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

With Europe intensifying the race for technological autonomy, this funding round positions the startup’s one of the frontrunners in the cloud and AI industries, which pose a challenge to established global leaders provided.
