Filipinos Are Going All-In on AI—Here’s What Samsung’s Study Reveals

Korea, New York, 19th March 2025 – A recent study by Samsung Electronics has revealed that many Filipinos are excited about the future of technology. The survey, which included 2,600 consumers from Southeast Asia, found that 2 in 3 Filipinos are eager to buy AI-powered smartphones and home appliances. This enthusiasm is driven by a desire for technology that makes life easier and more efficient.

The study highlights how Filipinos are already using AI in their daily lives. Many rely on it for writing, translation, and problem-solving. In fact, 44% of respondents use AI for writing tasks, while 42% turn to it for language translation. This shows a strong interest in tools that enhance communication and productivity.

AI is also helping Filipinos express their creativity. The study found that 48% use AI for photo editing, and 42% use it for entertainment and generating new ideas. With features like AI-assisted photo editing and improved search capabilities, the new Galaxy S25 series from Samsung is designed to meet these growing demands.

Jun Guevara, Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics Philippines, shared his excitement about these advancements: “Early this year, we unveiled in CES our focus of making AI an ‘Everyday, Everywhere’ experience.” He emphasized that Samsung is committed to making the benefits of AI accessible to everyone.

As technology continues to evolve, it’s clear that Filipinos are ready to embrace AI in their everyday lives. With its potential to boost creativity and efficiency, AI is not just a trend; it’s becoming an essential part of how people live and work.
