Fixstars Partners with OPTAGE to Develop a High-Performance AI Data Center
TOKYO, JAPAN, 12th February 2025 – The Fixstars Corporation has entered into a collaboration with OPTAGE Inc. which aims to bring strategic benefits with respect to its new project: the AI Data Center (AI DC). The process will be about developing a cost-effective, high-performance AI training and inference infrastructure.
The generative AI branch expands rapidly; thus, drug-discovery, materials, science, and autonomous driving manufacturers continue depending on computation power. Still, the training of AI models is quite expensive. This AI DC of OPTAGE provides a solution-in addition to having containerized, liquid-cooled data centers with state-of-the-art GPUs, located strategically in suburbs for power and space availability-that this center is linked via high-bandwidth links to the Osaka Connectivity Center (OC1) to provide broad global access for AI research and deployment.
The AI Booster suite-a collection of software applications designed to optimize GPU utilization during AI training to improve efficiency-will be provided by Fixstars. Also, the company will give technical guidance, component selection, and user research to fit AI DC configuration requirements of developer needs.
“Fixstars has a deep history of optimizing software for high-performance computing environments, enabling us to maximize GPU utilization across diverse fields,” said Satoshi Miki, CEO of Fixstars. “We are excited to partner with OPTAGE on this groundbreaking AI Data Center initiative. By leveraging our software technology, we will empower users with a high-performance, cost-effective infrastructure for their AI workloads.”
Fixstars has a strong track record in AI platform development. The company recently launched Fixstars AI Booster and contributed to the AI training infrastructure for Sony Honda Mobility’s ‘AFEELA’ autonomous driving project.
