Fortra Launches Continuity Care for IBM Power Customers
Power by Fortra, a global cybersecurity and software provider focused on the IBM Power market, today announced Continuity Care, a fully managed cyber resilience and recovery validation service for IBM Power and IBM i organizations, available as a full-service offering or as a streamlined entry option focused on offsite backup alone. Power by Fortra brings more than two decades of experience securing and supporting the IBM Power ecosystem, with a portfolio spanning cybersecurity, automation, and high availability/disaster recovery used across its base of more than 7,000 direct IBM Power relationships.

The service is powered by FalconStor Habanero™ and Cloud Clean Room™, technology that gives Fortra’s team the infrastructure to execute recovery validation at scale. Habanero provides offsite data protection, moving IBM Power data to immutable storage on IBM Cloud Object Storage so a clean, unaltered copy is always available regardless of what happens to the production environment. FalconStor Cloud Clean Room™, built on a patent pending Zero Trust Secure Enclave, provides the isolated recovery environment on IBM PowerVS where each quarterly test takes place. Together, the two technologies give Power by Fortra the foundation for resilient offsite retention and proof of recoverability, on top of which the Power by Fortra team delivers the managed services, validation, and reporting that make the offering turnkey for customers.
Continuity Care is designed to meet organizations where they are in their resilience journey. The full offering pairs Habanero and Cloud Clean Room with Power by Fortra’s complete managed service — including quarterly recovery validation testing, reporting, and ongoing operational support. For organizations that want to begin with offsite protection first, Continuity Care is also available as a streamlined entry option built on Habanero plus Power by Fortra’s backup reporting and validation services, confirming that data is protected and successfully landing offsite. Customers can add Cloud Clean Room and the full quarterly recovery validation service at any time as their resilience requirements evolve.
