FRC and QIZ Security Advance Zero-Trust Post-Quantum Cryptography Solution to RCC Hopper

FRC, in partnership with QIZ Security,(opens in new tab) today announced that its Phase II Pitch submitted against the Zero Trust Post Quantum Cryptography Roadmap, Area of Interest (AOI) #26-A006, has been determined to have technical merit and is being moved to the RCC Hopper.

The determination represents an important milestone for the FRC and QIZ Security team and follows an assessment and competitive evaluation process.

The RCC Hopper is a digital repository available to U.S. Navy resource sponsors containing solutions that have successfully progressed through the competitive evaluation process. Placement in the Hopper makes these solutions readily available for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic to consider for direct prototype Other Transaction (OT) awards for a period of up to 24 months following the Pitch date.

The joint FRC and QIZ Security effort addresses the Zero Trust Post Quantum Cryptography Roadmap identified under AOI 26-A006. The team’s Phase II Pitch focused on an approach designed to support the Navy’s evaluation and potential adoption of capabilities addressing the transition toward post-quantum cryptography within Zero Trust environments.

What the RCC Hopper Milestone Means

Placement in the RCC Hopper does not constitute a contract award. Rather, it means the solution has been assessed through the competitive process, determined to have technical merit, and is now positioned within the repository for consideration by Navy resource sponsors.

Should the Government elect to proceed toward a Phase III Request for Proposal, the Government may engage Jeremy Martin, the FRC point of contact, and the QIZ Security team to collaboratively develop the requirements package as part of the next stage of the process.

The milestone provides FRC and QIZ Security an opportunity to build upon their Phase II work and potentially support the Navy as it addresses the evolving challenge of protecting mission-critical information and systems in a post-quantum security environment.
