Armonk, New York, 19th March 2025 – IBM and NVIDIA are teaming up to make artificial intelligence (AI) more accessible and effective for businesses. On March 18, 2025, IBM announced exciting new collaborations with NVIDIA that aim to help companies better manage their data and build powerful AI applications. This partnership focuses on integrating the NVIDIA AI Data Platform into IBM’s systems, which will allow enterprises to harness the full potential of generative AI.

According to a recent IBM report, a significant 77% of executives believe generative AI is ready for the market, a big jump from just 36% the previous year. This growing confidence in AI means that businesses need better tools to handle complex data and computing tasks. The collaboration between IBM and NVIDIA is designed to meet this demand by creating hybrid AI solutions that prioritize data management, security, and performance.

One of the key features of this partnership is IBM’s new content-aware storage capability. This will help businesses process large amounts of unstructured data more efficiently.

AI agents need to rapidly access, fetch and process data at scale, and today, these steps occur in separate silos,” said Rob Davis, vice president at NVIDIA. With this new system, companies can quickly analyze their data and improve their AI applications.

IBM is also enhancing its watsonx platform by integrating NVIDIA’s microservices. This will enable organizations to develop and deploy AI models across different cloud environments easily. Hillery Hunter, IBM’s CTO, emphasized that “IBM is focused on helping enterprises build and deploy effective AI models and scale with speed.” This integration will allow companies to use advanced AI models while ensuring strong governance and security.

Moreover, IBM Cloud is expanding its offerings with NVIDIA H200 instances, which are designed for high-performance computing tasks. These powerful instances will support the growing needs of businesses embracing generative AI.

In addition to these advancements, IBM Consulting is introducing new services to help clients transform their business processes using agentic AI. These services will focus on specific industries like manufacturing and energy, helping companies automate tasks such as inspections and data analysis.

This collaboration between IBM and NVIDIA represents a significant step forward in making AI more practical for businesses. By combining their strengths, they aim to provide innovative solutions that help organizations unlock the potential of their data while overcoming challenges associated with AI adoption. As both companies work together, the future of AI looks promising for enterprises around the world.
