Jumio Launches selfie.DONE Across Latin America for Reusable Identity
Expansion builds on success in Brazil, with reduced onboarding friction and increased conversion rates for trusted users
Jumio, the leading provider of AI-powered identity intelligence, announced the launch of its reusable identity solution, selfie. DONE, across Latin America. This expansion marks the next phase of Jumio’s global rollout of true reusable identity, following its successful launch in Brazil in October 2025.

Early deployments have demonstrated the significant improvement that reusable identity has on conversion rates. Approximately 60% of users complete fast-lane, document-free verifications using selfie.DONE, driving a 17% increase in verification completion rates.
selfie.DONE removes friction from the onboarding process by empowering previously verified, trusted users to verify their identity with just a selfie. It uses AI models to instantly recognize returning users who sign up for new services, while continuously reassessing risk in real time. If no trusted identity is found or risk is detected, the system automatically triggers full ID verification, ensuring security is never compromised.
“Reusable identity represents a foundational shift in how businesses establish and maintain trust online,” said Bala Kumar, president and interim CEO at Jumio. “With selfie.DONE, Jumio is moving beyond one-time verification toward continuous identity intelligence. We’re enabling trusted users to be instantly recognized and re-verified with minimal friction, while dynamically assessing risk at every interaction. We’ve already seen excellent traction in Brazil, and expanding this capability across Latin America brings us closer to a true global identity graph that enables faster onboarding, higher conversion rates, and stronger fraud detection.”
Hilgardo Gaming, a Brazil-based online gaming platform and early adopter of selfie.DONE, has already seen significant performance gains.
“With selfie.DONE, the majority of our users now take advantage of document-free verification, which has translated into higher conversion rates, stronger user satisfaction and improved retention,” said Andre Nizer, director of product and marketing at Hilgardo Gaming. “In a highly competitive market, it’s a clear win for both our players and our business.”

The solution is also helping TQJ, the company behind the Bet do Milhão online b****** platform, in its mission to offer safe, transparent, and responsible experiences to Brazilian consumers.
“At TQJ, we are constantly working to enhance the user experience on Bet do Milhão, ensuring security without compromising the fluidity of the journey. The implementation of selfie.DONE has already brought meaningful improvements to our KYC processes, making them more agile and efficient,” said Fernando Justus Fischer, CEO at TQJ. “We have significantly reduced friction in onboarding new players while maintaining high security standards, which directly impacts our conversion rates and overall user satisfaction.”
Unlike closed-loop identity wallets or regional data silos, Jumio’s approach to reusable identity is powered by cross-customer intelligence. Each verification contributes to Jumio’s rapidly growing global identity graph of tens of millions of legitimate and fraudulent identities. This enables businesses to immediately and seamlessly recognize trusted users across geographies and industries.
