LG Showcases Cutting-Edge HVAC Technology at AHR Expo 2025
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, 10th February, 2025 – LG is at the AHR Expo 2025 in Orlando, Florida, showing off its latest and greatest solutions for heating, cooling, and air quality. The expo runs from February 10th to 12th, and LG is excited to share its vision for a more sustainable future. With the world increasingly focused on reducing pollution and using cleaner energy, LG is stepping up with new HVAC technologies designed for both homes and businesses.
The company’s expanded lineup of HVAC products is all about efficiency and environmental responsibility. LG understands that different spaces have different needs, so they’re offering a variety of solutions tailored to various environments, whether it’s a cozy home or a large commercial building. Beyond complete HVAC systems, LG is also showcasing the individual components that make these systems tick, highlighting their dedication to quality and innovation.
A major focus for LG is on heat pumps. These clever devices can both heat and cool, making them a versatile and energy-efficient choice. LG’s Inverter Heat Pumps have earned the ENERGY STAR® seal of approval, meaning they meet strict energy efficiency guidelines. For homeowners in North America, LG has created special heat pumps that are powerful enough to handle houses with high ceilings, ensuring everyone stays comfortable. These heat pumps can also connect seamlessly with existing systems, making upgrades a breeze. LG is also introducing a new Inverter Heat Pump Water Heater that uses smart technology to maximize efficiency and can be controlled from your phone.
One standout product is the LG Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump, which won an AHR Innovation Award for its sustainable design. This heat pump is built to withstand freezing temperatures, operating effectively even when it’s -31°F outside. It also has a special feature to prevent pipes from freezing during icy weather.
This innovative heat pump was developed through a collaboration with the Global Heat Pump Consortium, led by LG. For commercial buildings, LG is upgrading its Multi V™ i system, which allows for precise temperature control in different zones. This system uses a refrigerant called R32, which has a lower impact on the environment compared to traditional refrigerants. The Multi V i also includes advanced safety features to prevent leaks and is designed for flexible installation.
LG is also introducing its Oil-Free Inverter Centrifugal Chiller, which combines the company’s latest advancements in chiller technology. This chiller uses magnetic bearing technology to improve energy efficiency and provides a reliable supply of chilled water.
It’s available in versions that use refrigerants with a low global warming potential, demonstrating LG’s commitment to staying ahead of environmental regulations. In addition to complete systems, LG is showcasing its components, including compressors and motors.
They’ve expanded their lineup of Scroll Compressors for both residential and commercial use and are unveiling new compressors designed specifically for Cold Climate Heat Pumps. James Lee, president of LG ES Company, emphasizes the company’s commitment to innovation and leading the industry towards a more sustainable future.
He states that LG is dedicated to providing efficient and environmentally friendly HVAC solutions for a wide range of customers. Attendees at the AHR Expo are encouraged to visit LG’s booth to experience these innovative technologies firsthand.
