SEOUL, 30th January 2025 – Imagine checking in at a hotel and immediately streaming your favorite series on Netflix or YouTube to the in-room TV—with no login, no passwords, and no hassle. This futuristic scene is now made real by LG Electronics (LG).

In its showcase at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, LG will present it new series of Google Cast-enabled TVs designed for hotels that will create a whole new statement in corporate hospitality. The cutting-edge technology enables hotel guests to stream all their own content freely, directly from their personal devices, to LG hotel TVs just like any home entertainment system.

Privacy and Convenience

Starting from January 10, LG Hotel TVs with webOS23 or above will support Google Cast with additional security and privacy features which have been designed for the hotel industry. As opposed to the original smart TVs, which required guests to log into several apps, LG’s integration allows users to connect through the scanning of a QR Code displayed on the TV screen.

This keeps them connected for the entire duration of their stay, while all data are purged promptly upon check-out – no lingering accounts, no forgotten logins, and no threats to personal privacy.

This one of a kind upgrade guarantees that hotel guests can stream from Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and more—without ever putting sensitive credentials on a shared screen.

Google Cast Meets Apple AirPlay

LG clearly does not intend to stop at Google Cast. It heralded in 2023 by launching the first hotel TV with built-in support for Apple AirPlay, which began shipping around the globe in 2024. The recent update is that LG’s hospitality TVs are now the world’s first to support both Google Cast and AirPlay simultaneously.

Thus, irrespective of whether guests have an iPhone or Android device, they are now free to stream away without a hitch. Dual compatibility most definitely works in favor of hotels trying for maximum guest satisfaction, where entertainment customization is concerned.

LG continues to increase its investments in the hospitality business, manufacturing state-of-the-art hotel TVs, advanced digital signage solutions, and Pro:Centric management software. These advances further enable hotels to personalize guests’ experiences-from welcoming messages to in-room content.

With LG’s latest innovation, the in-room TV experience is no longer a boring afterthought; it now very much becomes an element of the guest’s stay.

The device is being exhibited with all these landmark features during the 2025 ISE held in Barcelona. The innovation shows us that hospitality tech’s future has arrived.
