Microsoft Unleashes AI Security Copilot to Fight Cyber Threats Faster
Redmond, Washington, 26th March 2025 – In a press statement Microsoft had extended its Security Copilot platform with the addition of 11 AI security agents that it developed with OneTrust and Tanium.
In collaboration with OneTrust and Tanium, these agents were created to automate the most critical aspects of cybersecurity, such as vulnerability stitching, alert triaging, monitoring, and responsive threat handling.
This exercise seeks to mitigate the load of security efforts as it has become increasingly more difficult because there is a global deficit of able-bodied manpower.
“Now with Security Copilot, we are able to literally turn everything in our favor,”
Claimed Vasu Jakkal, Corporate Vice President of Security at Microsoft.
“It is believed this technology will bring more productivity because it will free cybersecurity professionals from constant surveillance towards more constructive actions like serious threat management.”
Aside from the AI agents, Microsoft is introducing new ways to combat phishing attacks via Microsoft Teams. The Shields also serve cyber warfare for specialized corporations which is why Microsoft Defender for Office 365 was introduced.
Such initiatives will showcase at Microsoft’s Secure event set for April 9, where the firm aims to unveil more developments in artificial intelligence automation security.
The introduction of Microsoft’s AI guards amplifies the effort to stay ahead in the face of fast growing global cyber insecurity. Every new initiative threatens to declare war with the New Beginnings in artificial intelligence.
As companies continue to adopt AI for security purposes, Microsoft’s Security Copilot acts as a crucial defense against complex attacks in addition to solving the workforce problem which is common throughout the industry.
