LONDON, MAY 16TH 2025 – In line with the Smart AI Agent Ecosystem, NTT DATA described the Smart AI Agent Ecosystem as an end-to-end platform that enables intelligent automation and provision of industry solutions with measurable results.

The announcement entails a paradigm shift in enterprise AI adoption-from autonomous decision-making to composable agent architectures to cross-industry transformations.

“The rapid evolution of AI presents both immense opportunities and challenges for businesses,”

Said Yutaka Sasaki, President and Chief Executive Officer, NTT DATA Group.

“At NTT DATA, we have developed the comprehensive capabilities needed to guide our clients through these transformative times and empower them to shape their future with the power of AI.”

A big feature is NTT DATA’s patented plug that converts old RPA bots into autonomous intelligent agents. This permits companies to modernize their strategies for automation without having to disregard any prior investments, thereby curbing technical debt while opening new frontiers of functionality.

Smart AI Agents are deployed in sectors such as healthcare, automotive manufacturing, finance, logistics, and marketing, and have, in parallel, gained significance for making high-stakes decisions and streamlining complex operations.

Continuing according to a growing plan, there will also be further development of specialized agents to combat fraud, monitor compliance, optimize supply chains, and innovate hyper-personalized marketing. In addition, they will be integrated into business systems to help maintain continual adaptability plus outcome-based performance.

“Agentic AI is the next transformative wave that will impact every sector, far more than what we have seen with Generative AI so far,”

Said Abhijit Dubey, CEO of NTT DATA, Inc.

“It’s not just about boosting creativity or productivity. It’s about unlocking new capabilities that can take initiative, make decisions, and collaborate with humans in entirely new ways. With our deep expertise in responsible innovation, trailblazing alliances, and visionary clients, we’re excited to lead this future — building the foundation for a reimagined human-machine hybrid workplace and a bold new business landscape.”

Another announcement by NTT DATA is the establishment of an OpenAI Center of Excellence to accelerate the rapid development and deployment of generative AI services for the identified industries. In partnership with startups such as Rafay Systems and Kore.ai, the ecosystem has been enhanced to provide scalable cloud-native AI infrastructure and the most advanced digital workplace services.

NTT DATA leaders say the smart AI agent ecosystem will enable clients to reimagine how operations are done, leapfrog global skill gaps, and deliver better stakeholder outcomes. Built with a focus on responsible AI, governance embedded, and multi-cloud capability, the ecosystem is designed as a full-service platform that can orchestrate multi-agent landscapes on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

“We’ve been leveraging NTT DATA’s end-to-end Agentic AI Services for Hyperscaler AI Technologies to explore both pro-code and low-code agentic AI experiences,”

Said Pankaj Shah, VP, Chief Information and Digital Officer, Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc.

“With their step-by-step advisory approach and outcome-focused strategy, we’re now exploring powerful multi-agent models and identifying new use cases to align with our business objectives and to reimagine how we operate.”

NTT DATA’s agentic approach to AI is part of a larger vision for a world where machines and humans work together effortlessly, creating more intelligent and resilient industries.
