Rackspace Technology Appoints Paul Guerra as Chief Information Security Officer
Rackspace Technology has announced the appointment of Paul Guerra as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), reinforcing the company’s focus on enterprise security, risk management, and digital resilience.
Guerra joins Rackspace Technology from StockX, where he served as CISO with oversight of Security, IT, Engineering, Fraud, Market Integrity, Brand Protection, and Trust & Safety. During his tenure, he led the company’s Enterprise Trust Program, driving security initiatives that protected customers and enterprise operations at scale. Earlier in his career, Guerra played a pivotal role in guiding Yahoo through its post-breach security recovery, helping restore trust and strengthen organizational security practices.

Recognized as a Top 100 CISO, Hispanic Executive Honoree, and a San Antonio 40 Under 40 award recipient, Guerra brings extensive experience in building security frameworks, managing complex cyber risks, and leading enterprise-wide transformation efforts.
At Rackspace Technology, Guerra will oversee Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management, while spearheading initiatives to transform the company’s security operations. His focus will be on streamlining processes, improving operational efficiencies, and creating a sustainable, cost-effective security ecosystem across Rackspace’s global cloud and technology services portfolio.
