Realtime Robotics Names Kevin Carlin as CEO

Realtime Robotics, the leader in industrial AI for automated robot system design and deployment, today announced that Kevin Carlin has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Carlin succeeds Co-founder Peter Howard, who continues as non-executive Chairman of the Board.

The appointment comes as Realtime Robotics sees accelerating adoption of its Resolver platform among a growing number of top global automakers. OEMs are increasingly turning to AI-driven automation to reduce vehicle development timelines, better manage production complexity, and gain an advantage in an aggressively competitive market. That momentum, paired with substantial growth in headcount and continued advancement of Resolver’s capabilities, has firmly positioned the company to seize emerging opportunities and scale.

Carlin brings more than two decades of international leadership in semiconductors, industrial automation, and AI to the role. He joined Realtime Robotics in 2022 as Chief Commercial Officer and was promoted to President and Chief Commercial Officer in 2025. Prior to Realtime Robotics, Carlin spent more than 13 years at Analog Devices, where he most recently built an internal startup focused on AI- and machine learning-driven sensing and analytics. He also held senior leadership roles across the company’s Automation & Energy Group and Industrial Automation business.
