Samsung’s Color E-Paper Launches with 0.00W Power Use – A Game-Changer for Digital Signage
BARCELONA, SPAIN, 4th February 2025 – Samsung Electronics launched their newest innovations in commercial displays during the Integrated Systems Europe 2025 (IES 2025), where a great variety of products aimed at improving business with energy efficiency and user experience were exhibited. The following are key highlights of the launch:
The new Color E-Paper (EMDX model) is a game-changer for energy-saving digital signage. This digital ink technology running-grade shows static images at an almost-zero-power-consumption level (0.00W). Thus, it is an environmentally friendly substitute to conventional paper displays and indeed shines visibility while slashing energy costs.
Color E-Paper comes in different sizes: 13”, 25”, 32”, and 75” Outdoor version 5K. This flexibility affords companies the ability to choose suitably sized displays for their needs.
The dedicated mobile app allows users to manage displays remotely for operation scheduling and playlist creation. Samsung’s Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) takes care of content management with features that facilitate content visibility and ensure content accuracy before deployment.
AI-Driven Solutions:
The SmartThings Pro uses AI and automation on its platform and magnifies operational efficiency. It includes Interactive View, which converts 2D floor plans into intuitive 3D images, facilitating space management.
SmartThings Pro allows businesses and organizations to automate device settings in specific conditions, with enough light and occupancy, and optimizes its performance and saves time.
Showcasing AI capabilities that enhance collaboration and education, the 2025 Interactive Display (WAFX-P model) powered by Android OS 15 facilitates Circle to Search, enabling users to search for images or translate text on screen.
Also introduced is this superlative 115″ 4K Smart Signage (QHFX model) manufactured for an immersive visual experience. The display is enabled with multi-view functionality, allowing for the simultaneous stream of up to four different content streams.
Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated,
“Our latest innovations showcase our commitment to pioneering new markets and providing transformative business solutions worldwide.”
Designed to be sustainable, the Color E-Paper cover is made from over 50% recycled plastics, while its packaging is made entirely from paper which is a proof of Samsung’s commitment to sustainability.
These achievements are a testament to Samsung’s commitment to developing new technologies that are relevant to contemporary businesses while also being energy-efficient and sustainable.
