Supermicro, Inc. (SMCI), a leading provider of comprehensive IT solutions for AI, cloud, storage, and 5G/edge environments, has partnered with VAST Data to introduce CNode-X, a fully integrated and rapidly deployable AI data platform. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption while simplifying the complexity of large-scale infrastructure deployment.

At the core of CNode-X lies the VAST AI operating system, which includes VAST InsightEngine and VAST DataBase. When combined with NVIDIA open models, microservices, libraries, and Supermicro’s high-performance GPUs and storage servers, the solution forms a tightly integrated AI infrastructure stack. As a result, enterprises can move from planning to production faster and deploy end-to-end AI solutions with greater confidence.

“Building on our collaboration with VAST Data, this solution combines Supermicro’s high-performance AI systems, VAST software, and NVIDIA technology into a truly integrated enterprise AI platform,” said Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro. “Together, we enable businesses to accelerate the deployment of their AI factories, whether it’s scaling large-scale AI initiatives or deploying enterprise applications like generative AI and video analytics.”

In addition, the companies have aligned CNode-X with the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference architecture. This strategic move enables GPU acceleration across the platform, significantly improving data vectorization, vector database search, and inference performance. Consequently, organizations can scale AI workloads efficiently while maintaining consistent performance.

“CNode-X brings together Supermicro’s integrated infrastructure expertise with the VAST AI operating system and NVIDIA-accelerated compute to provide a turnkey foundation for enterprise AI factories,” said John Deere, CEO of CNode-X. “We are working together to dramatically ease the process for organizations to deploy an end-to-end AI data platform, keeping data feeding GPUs and enabling teams to move quickly from deployment to first token, allowing them to confidently scale AI workloads.”

Notably, Supermicro builds on the success of its EBox solution with VAST, originally launched in 2024. The solution gained widespread adoption among large-scale storage customers due to its space, power, and cost efficiency. Now, Supermicro has upgraded the second-generation EBox with the latest AMD EPYC 9005 CPU, further enhancing performance and scalability.

From a hardware perspective, CNode-X integrates the proven Supermicro CloudDC AS-1116CS-TN platform within the EBox solution. Moreover, it adds the SYS-212GB-FNR 2U multi-GPU compute server, which supports two NVIDIA RTX PRO™ 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs in a compact 2U form factor. This configuration delivers powerful AI compute capabilities while optimizing data center footprint.

On the software side, the VAST AI OS integrates NVIDIA software libraries and Supermicro hardware platforms to deliver pre-configured, ready-to-run AI workflows. These include real-time agents powered by VAST AgentEngine and enterprise generative AI capabilities enabled by InsightEngine.

Furthermore, organizations can leverage Supermicro’s large-scale AI servers, including 8-way GPU systems based on NVIDIA’s HGX B300 server, alongside advanced liquid cooling solutions. Together, these technologies create a scalable AI factory foundation.

To streamline deployment, Supermicro offers comprehensive Rack Integration Services, covering system architecture planning, factory integration, testing, software installation, on-site deployment, and network configuration. Finally, the SuperCloud Suite provides centralized, end-to-end management across Supermicro systems, cooling subsystems, and third-party infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency at scale.
