Sven Heursch has been Appointed as Chief Digital Officer at HENSOLDT

HENSOLDT, a global provider of defense electronics and sensor solutions, has appointed Sven Heursch as Chief Digital Officer (CDO). The appointment reinforces the company’s strategic focus on software-defined defence and the digitalisation of its product portfolio as part of its long-term corporate roadmap.

In his new role, Sven will become a permanent member of the Group Executive Committee (GEC) and will report directly to Oliver Dörre, Chief Executive Officer of HENSOLDT. He will be responsible for advancing digital transformation initiatives across the organization, with a particular emphasis on software-driven architectures, secure digital platforms, and next-generation defense technologies.

His work has focused on integrating digital technologies into complex sensor and radar solutions, supporting the transition toward modular, scalable, and software-defined defense capabilities.

The appointment highlights the growing importance of digital innovation within the defense sector, as geopolitical dynamics and evolving threat landscapes accelerate demand for agile, software-enabled systems.
