Thailand’s Stock Exchange Partners with Google Cloud to Launch AI-Powered ATLAS
Bangkok, Thailand, 28th March 2025 – The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has taken a bold step forward by partnering with Google Cloud to introduce a cutting-edge AI-powered solution named ATLAS (Automated Thai Listed Company AI-Info System). This collaboration aims to transform the operations of Thailand’s capital markets, making them more efficient, accessible, and innovative.
ATLAS is designed to enhance SET’s ability to process and retrieve information seamlessly. Built using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform and powered by the Gemini 2.0 Flash model, ATLAS offers advanced semantic search capabilities. Through its intuitive chat interface, users can ask questions in everyday language, receiving precise and relevant responses sourced from SET’s specialized knowledge base.
Thirapun Sanpakit, Senior Executive Vice President of SET, shared his enthusiasm for this development: “SET has been continuously applying AI to enhance our operational processes, including market and listed company supervision, and content translation and transcription. Automation of the latter, for example, has made relevant news and information, including market data and investment knowledge, more accessible to foreign investors. We’re now preparing to integrate ATLAS, our new solution developed in collaboration with Google Cloud, into our workflows. This will further streamline SET and listed companies’ capital markets operations, unlocking new levels of efficiency and convenience. As a next step, SET will make ATLAS available to investors, further democratizing access to market intelligence.”
Annop Siritikul, Country Director for Thailand at Google Cloud, highlighted the benefits of ATLAS: “With ATLAS’s semantic search and agentic AI capabilities turning information-retrieval tasks that take hours into quick searches or conversational exploration, SET’s workforce can more effectively identify trends for market overviews, create tailored listing roadmaps, and conduct due diligence on listing applicants. Their enhanced ability to deliver market intelligence, facilitate equity issuance, and preserve market integrity will foster increased market participation and expand access to capital for businesses, ultimately driving job creation and other broader economic benefits for the country.”
SET has already demonstrated its commitment to innovation by deploying AI-powered tools earlier this year. These include a document processing system that translates financial reports from Thai to English and a video transcription service that converts speeches into text formats for easier access by investors.
With plans to integrate Google Cloud’s BigQuery platform for real-time data processing and extend ATLAS’s availability to listed companies and investors, SET is paving the way for a future where technology drives greater transparency and efficiency in Thailand’s capital markets.
