Veteran enterprise software CFO joins Anaconda to build the financial operating model behind the trusted foundation for AI-native development

Anaconda Inc.,(opens in new tab) the trusted foundation for AI-native development, announced the appointment of Stewart Grierson to Chief Financial Officer. Grierson will lead Anaconda’s finance organization, reporting to Chief Executive Officer David DeSanto.

He joins as Anaconda completes the most significant expansion in the company’s history, closing three acquisitions in six months to deepen platform capabilities for its 50 million active users.

By expanding access to agentic engineering, AI orchestration, and AI security & guardrails, Anaconda is enabling customers to reach trillion-token scale that is cost efficient and secure. Grierson’s mandate is to lead Anaconda’s financial strategy to match the pace of its platform growth.

Grierson brings more than two decades of financial leadership at high-growth security, DevOps, and data infrastructure companies. He joins Anaconda from Sumo Logic, a cloud-native data analytics platform for IT, operations, and security teams, where he served as CFO and later COO through its 2023 acquisition by Francisco Partners. He previously spent six years as CFO of Delphix, a data automation and governance platform, and eight years as CFO of ArcSight, leading the SIEM pioneer through its 2008 IPO and acquisition by Hewlett Packard. He also serves on the board of Anomali, a cybersecurity and threat intelligence platform.

He will drive the company’s top priorities and help the company scale as Anaconda achieves its ambitious goals.
