Cisco Fortifies Taiwan’s Cybersecurity with New Center and Training Focus

U.S. networking giant Cisco Systems unveiled a strategic move in Taiwan, establishing a dedicated cybersecurity center and partnering with the government to cultivate a skilled cybersecurity workforce. This initiative aligns with Cisco’s Taiwan Digital Acceleration Plan 3.0, which prioritizes cybersecurity alongside advancements in artificial intelligence (AI).

The announcement underscores Taiwan’s growing vulnerability to cyberattacks, often attributed to China. As a self-governing democracy, Taiwan faces ongoing political and military pressure from China, which claims the island as its own territory.
