Doppel Acquires PropRise to Strengthen AI Security

The acquisition will accelerate expansion of its industry-leading Social Engineering Defense platform

 Doppel, the Frontier AI Social Engineering Defense (SED) platform, today announced its acquisition of PropRise, a Y Combinator-backed technology company. PropRise co-founders Jean-Michael Diei and Matthew Krager will join Doppel’s engineering organization, bringing their experience building and scaling a company from the ground up to Doppel’s growing team.

This acquisition marks Doppel’s latest step in scaling its agentic platform to protect organizations across the entire social engineering attack chain. Powered by agentic AI, Doppel’s platform unifies Digital Risk Protection, Human Risk Management, and Email Security to detect and connect threats across channels, disrupt the infrastructure behind attacks, and strengthen employee resilience against evolving tactics.

Diei and Krager, former Stripe employees and Y Combinator alumni, founded PropRise in 2023 to build AI-powered software for the commercial real estate industry and quickly grew the company to high six figures in ARR, serving leading institutional investors and REITs. Their experience developing complex technical products will help Doppel accelerate new solutions across its SED platform. As Doppel continues to expand its capabilities, the company is investing in highly technical, founder-minded engineers who can move quickly from identifying hard problems to building products that solve them.
