REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, 14TH JANUARY 2025- Informatica (NYSE: INFA) has entered the new age of AI with their native Generative AI (GenAI) Functionalities introduced in the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

With this addition, enterprise data management has proven to be much more effortless than ever before and we can only expect more AI driven solutions suited perfectly according to the requirements in the future.

It is apparent that this new feature has aided Informatica’s Integrative Data Management Intelligence Cloud (IDMC) by assisting with the functions provided by Databricks.

With these tools, SQL workflows can be performed directly to provide more features such as: sentiment analysis, translation of languages, grammar correction and many more.

“This partnership enables organizations to create high-quality, domain-specific AI applications with accuracy and efficiency.”

Said Adam Conway, Senior VP, Products at Databricks

The reason this feature is so useful is because of the Native SQL ELT feature which is capable of supporting over fifty transformations. This Native SQL ELT feature supports more than two hundred fifty functions of Databricks SQL.

This means that businesses can build and maintain no-code data pipelines on the Databricks platform. With all of these enhancements, Informatica has certainly made it easier for their customers to take advantage of data governance and quality on a large scale.

Informatica recently won the 2024 Data Integration Partner of the Year award from Databricks and with this, Informatica has taken the initial step in establishing a larger firm within the industry, offering their services and previously mentioned technologies to clients such as Takeda, KPMG, and Point72.

When discussing Informatica’s relationship with Databricks, Amit Walia, CEO of Informatica expressed:

“Our partnership with Databricks helps customers to create enterprise-grade GenAI applications through the use of the data they can trust and still know that governance policies are being followed. This allows for such applications to meet the standards of being safe.”

With the collaboration already delivering promising results, we are confident that it will prove to be even more successful in the future. During the integration of AI in the industry, Amit further on explained how he expected the role of an enterprise to shift.

â€śThe objective of the partnership is to change the way an enterprise works with and analyzes data by setting new standards of innovation centered around AI.”
