Nokia to Power ResetData’s AI Data Centers Across Australia
ESPOO, FINLAND, 14TH APRIL , 2025 – Today, Nokia announced that it has entered into a very significant partnership with Australian cloud provider ResetData, which provides a high-performance networking backbone for the rollout of the country’s first-ever sovereign and sustainable AI Factory data centers.
This initiative marks a leap into Australia’s AI infrastructure focused on both technological sovereignty and sustainability.
ResetData’s AI Factory model for liquid immersion cooling gives 10 times greater efficiency and 45% reduced emissions relative to traditional data center designs.
The infrastructure is designed to facilitate on-demand access to GPU clusters that will accommodate workloads from AI, ML, and LLM, all within the Australian geography to uphold data sovereignty.
The crux of this deployment is the Nokia 7750 Service Router with the FP5 network processor. The platform provides low-latency lossless connectivity at speeds of up to 800 Gb/s in support of AI-scale workloads and consumes 75% less energy than previous technologies.
The first one will be in Melbourne’s CBD and co-funded by Centuria Capital Group. Nokia’s scalable IP solution will connect AI Factory nodes across Australia to deliver the speed, security, and performance essential to ResetData’s vision.
“We are moving quickly because sovereign AI is critical to Australia’s international competitiveness. Together with the ResetData AI Marketplace, our rollout is delivering critical AI, machine learning and large language model capabilities on-shore and on-demand for the first time.”
said Karl Kloppenborg, Chief Technology Officer at ResetData.
“To make it happen, we needed a partner as committed to sustainability as we are, with local resourcing and global reach, who could meet a demanding timeline, scale from single GPUs to entire AI Factories, and replicate Melbourne’s launch nationally. Nokia has been a core partner at every step,”
“As dynamic new-generation cloud builders like ResetData seize the opportunities that artificial intelligence generates, Nokia is ready with an IP portfolio primed for the stringent and exacting data demands of AI infrastructure. Combining speed, capacity and reliability with cost-efficiency and sustainability, Nokia IP is a top choice for the world’s most modern and secure data centers. We are pleased to partner with ResetData as they deliver Australia’s first sovereign AI at scale,”
Added Vach Kompella, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IP Networks at Nokia.
This partnership means that Nokia and ResetData are setting the pace for AI-powered digital transformation in Australia.
