Security Risk Advisors Launches Free SCALR AI Platform for Security Teams
Security Risk Advisors(opens in new tab) (SRA), the authors of the free VECTR platform, announce another great free platform launch: SCALR AI. Security teams can get SCALR AI for free, delivered through the Azure Marketplace.
SCALR AI is an agentive workbench that automates time-consuming security work and ships with fully functional incident triage and enrichment, with AI-driven quality review built-in. There are no limits on the free license (such as local use), and the SCALR AI platform is available to CISO teams to deploy in their own Azure private tenant. Teams can build additional workflows with the tools in the platform, including threat hunting, vulnerability management, phishing analysis, and others. Security teams configure multi-agent workflows, agents, tools, and MCP servers working together, instead of building each workflow by hand.
SCALR AI deploys inside a customer’s own Azure tenant, so security data and AI workflows stay in the customer’s environment rather than a shared SaaS instance. Cost visibility is built in. Security teams can see and manage what each workflow, agent, and model costs to run, rather than absorbing indiscriminate token spend. The platform also supports the LLMs a security team already uses, so teams are not locked to a single model.

SCALR AI carries no license fee. Customers pay only for the Azure compute their workflows use, billed directly by Microsoft at standard Azure rates. Because SCALR AI selects the model for each task instead of routing everything through a single high-cost model, that compute bill stays well below the combined license and consumption fees that other AI security platforms charge for comparable work.

“We built SCALR AI to help our 24×7 XDR clients level up in the AI era. We know that CISOs and their teams all over the world are looking at the 70+ commercial SOC AI platforms on the market right now and not knowing what to choose. There’s never been 70 choices for anything in cyber and there’s no reason that any of them should win because of big marketing budgets. So here is a free one, and just like VECTR, it’s too good to be free,” said Tim Wainwright,(opens in new tab) CEO of Security Risk Advisors. “Security teams don’t need another platform to rent. They need the ability to low-code/no-code build and own their capabilities and keep their data private. Giving away SCALR AI removes the 70+ confusion and avoids procurement cycles.” “Most people picture AI in the SOC as a chatbot you have to prompt. That picture is wrong, and it’s costing security teams progress,” said Mike Pinch, CTO of Security Risk Advisors. “SCALR AI runs as digital workers: agents that respond to an incident, an event, or a schedule, not to someone typing a prompt. A workflow of specialized agents, each doing one job well, produces a consistent result no chatbot or personal assistant ever can, and it stays behind when the person who built it moves on.”
