Writesonic Traces What AI Says About a Brand to Its Source and Launches Outreach Agent to Fix It

Writesonic, the AI search visibility platform used by more than 10,000 brands and agencies, released six new and updated features that show marketers what AI says about their brand, whether it is accurate, and where that information came from. It also launched Outreach Agent, which contacts cited sources on the marketer’s behalf.

Most AI visibility tools count how often a brand shows up in ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and more. But, they leave out what AI says, whether it is right, and which pages the AI used to generate its answer. Pages that earn a citation can lose it within weeks. A wrong description on a cited page stays wrong until someone corrects it.

“A mention count tells a brand it showed up. It doesn’t say what AI believes about the brand or where it learned it,” said Samanyou Garg, founder and CEO of Writesonic. “Of course share of voice is still vital, but our customers asked for three things: what does AI say, is it right, and which page did it come from? This release answers all three. Outreach Agent then helps fix the page. The agent does the legwork. The marketer makes the final call.”

Sentiment, rebuilt, breaks down how AI describes a brand by platform and topic, and the positive and negative terms it mentions most. It now traces each negative claim to the cited page and the passage on it.

Fact Check flags claims AI gets wrong about a brand, such as old pricing or an outdated description of the company, and traces each to the page AI cited.

Social citations identifies which YouTube channels, LinkedIn posts and Reddit threads AI cites in a brand’s category. It lists which of them cite the brand, which don’t, and which creators are mentioned most. In Writesonic’s study of 2,000 brands, a mention on YouTube or Reddit made a brand more than three times as likely to appear in an AI answer. A mention on the brand’s own website raised the odds 1.3 times.

Citation Decay tracks whether each page AI cites is gaining or losing ground, by platform. Writesonic’s research found no two AI engines agree on more than 24% of the sources they cite, so a page can be fading on one and holding on another. A page marked Faded used to earn citations and no longer does, so it becomes a priority update. A page marked Rising is picking up citations, whether it belongs to a competitor, a creator or a forum.

Outreach Agent works on pages a brand does not own. Marketers fix their own pages in Writesonic’s Action Center. Many pages AI cites belong to someone else. Outreach Agent finds the author behind a cited page, drafts a personalized email, sends it and tracks the replies, all from within the platform. The marketer approves every send, one at a time or in bulk. It is the first agent on a platform rebuilt so agents and people collaborate in one workflow.

Shopping, updated, reports how a brand’s products appear in AI shopping answers, down to the SKU, with merchant-level data. Marketplaces and brands that sell direct get different answers. Writesonic covers both.

The release includes a redesigned interface and onboarding. Existing customers keep all existing functionality. New customers can start in minutes and finish setup in an afternoon, with no services retainer.
